Just curious as to who is running teasers this year, I am not talking about those daisy chain style but true blue teasers or hookless lures etc.
Am running two teasers and have lost a few to fish which is a bugger, maybe should have put a hook in them so my question is who is running teasers.

mate they get smashed, I will post some picks at some stage but yip lost a few now, bloody awesome to watch.

thinking of a new system for me anyway and that is to run another set of smallish riggers just to run the teasers from to keep them out of the way

Yeah mate I run teasers. Mainly because I am a bit short on game rods. I generally run 1-2 mouldcraft lures in a chain on the short corner 500lb mono - swivel - strong cord with elastic bungee, or if its a bright day sometimes a palula witchdoctor. On the other side I sometimes run a boone bird in front of my tuna bungee.

If your teasers are getting hit then they are obviously working well and maybe you should just put hooks in them (if you arent trying to switch bait that is) or try and put them just in front of a similar hooked lure?

By the way what are you using as teasers?

Double Strike skip told us he had a BM Purple Predator out as a teaser but a blue smashed it before he could wind it to boat.

BA, maybe if the guy taking the photos was not he could have cleared the lures/teasers in time???Wink just joking.
Are you running the teasers for switch and tease or just attractors? seems strange to loose lures are they tied off the back of the boat with no give or on reels? run them from the bridge BA then you get to play with a few fish then that guy can take photos and the crew can hookem. Maybe long teaser rods may be a better cheaper option and you can have a drag system to prevent line breakage. Lots of different ways to run teasers just depends on your boat set up I guess.
If you let me know your boat set up we are in a good marina at the moment with an insane amount Sport fishers from 20ft up 90ft I can take a few photos and email them to you of different ideas? PM me your details if you want. Most boats over here run two of there teasers from the bridge, better vis and get them away from the fish quicker.

cheers guys, yeah they are being run from the bridge, works well, trouble is when the blues come in from the side you dont see them till it is too late, running them off heavy cord half way up the riggers but looking at off the side of the boat on short riggers set horizontal, have an idea or two so will see how we go.
yeah mate boat is 38ft so any photos of different setups will be good, I go around the mariners looking at different ideas as well.
