I want to make/buy some spray strakes to add above my chine forward of my cabin.
Anyone played with this.
They make some in the states for moonbeam money called smart rails which are plastic and glued on.
They look similar to the strakes on the Surtees in that they are a turned down edge if you will.
Something must look like this that I can addapt or somene may have worked some up in glass or something?
My hull is glass.
I am going to have a play when I pull the boat off it's mooring in a few months.
Just back from a few days away and reckon It could be dried up a bit.
More of an invented project than a needed one so I don't want to spend much on it, but my labour is worthless (thats what she says).

A mate just got something done to his launch that sounds very similar.. I wasn't paying much attention at the time unfortunately, but will ask him about it.. Off memory he's had a strake about a meter long added to front of hull, to deflect spray down when cruising..

Hey mate, here are some pictures of them on a 60ft launch, they work mint apparently. As you can see in the pictures hopefully, these are all glass and have been moulded into front of boat.
