Due to another piece of pure muppetry I smashed the transducer off my boat.  You know how it goes - launching at a very shallow ramp (Bucklands beach, low tide), bit of a chop running, don't want to drown the back of the car, poor light (5:30am), poor brain (forgot to put the transducer up), shove the boat off and WHACK off it goes.  Due to other muppetry too long to go into, the transducer & cable are now in no condition to be glued/screwed back together.
So does anyone have an Eagle 168 they've retired/don't want.  I have the display in good condition, and a power supply, so what I really need is the transducer and cable with plug and fuse (although I can solder the fuse in myself if needed).  Willing to pay a decent amount for the goods + shipping.  If you have one, let's talk.

Well spotted CatchitThumbs Up  I got the whole set from Advanced Trident for $160.  I'll phone them tomorrow to check their price for the transducer.  If Adv Trdent's price is > $90, the Lowrance one will do nicely.  I've put it on my watchlist.

Marine Deals have a pretty good price for the whole set - $149 not bad for screen + fuse + cable + transducer.  Just need to supply your own power supply.

I ended up going to Advanced Trident and explained to them that I had all the parts I needed except for the plug that goes into the back of the screen.  They said they had something that would do for $54 and went to look for that out back.  They came back with the whole transducer/cable set retail price $150!  Who would pay that considering Marine Deals price?  Anyway for some reason they took pity on me and gave me the $149 part for $54.  Way cool!

If you've got Eagle or Lowrance gear that needs parts I recommend Advance Trident for parts.  They're cheaper than the boat dealers & fishing shops.  If you want to buy a good basic no nonsense finder for a tinny or yak, I recommend the Eagle Cuda 168.  Go easy on the plugs though - they wear out.  A regular spray with CRC helps protect the pins and ensures a good strong electrical contact.
