Hi.
Anyone had experience with one of these reels?
They are in the budget spectrum. Which is all I am after.
Anyone running braid on one and/or are they suitable for such?

Cheers.

Yup fished a bit with one. A friend of mine has caught all sorts on one, including rat kings very close to legal. I think he runs 15lb braid on it.

They are decent for what they cost. Off the top of my head the biggest letdown is that the line roller runs on a bushing rather than a bearing. The sealing is not the best you'll ever see so try not to get it soaked. But all in all you could do a lot worse for the money.

For a few bucks more the Daiwa Crossfire is worth a look as well.

I have one, good reel for the price.

Use it with braid for soft baiting.

Happy with it and no complaints so far. Passes the 'would I buy another one' test for me.
