Looking at upgrading my outsider,
Been looking around and came across a sea boss 580, Seems a prity big boat for 580 and one hell of a beam, welds look good and the overall finish was very tidy.
Anyone had one, own one. What they ride like.

LOL It happens. Might be best to do a sneaky fart right by her nose just as she inhales. Then pretend you are asleep. LOL

That's why i dont go making too much noise that i have one..... Guilty by association!

I have a 750 hardtop so making the comparison with the 580 is probably stretching it a bit.
I will say that i have mates with South Island manufactured alloys of a similar size and the finish is better on my boat and performance is equal if not better in reasonible seas. Way better in the rough stuff.
For the money, they are extremely strong and well made boats. My previous boat was a Marco 550 and i rate the Seaboss a long way above that.

Stand up to be seen, speak up to be heard. BUT shut up to be appreciated.

Hi,

I've owned one for 5 years - a modified 6m - (about 6.3) - great boat, have gamerigged mine and have used it extensively for coastal and offshore fishing in all sea conditions and it is a solid performer. I have a 115 Optimax on the back which I would possibly recommend a 135, but suits me well for economical trolling and cruising the distances that I travel -
Stable, beamy and reliable... have thrown everything at it in big seas and it hasnt missed a beat...

Have owned Bertrams and twin hull boats over the years and rate this highly for the size / performance ratio..

I've owned a 6m for two years now and absolutely love it. you can even overnight on it (2 up) at a pinch. have added quite a few home comforts too. Sound system, electric capstan, softtop, chemical toilet (for the wife), GPS / sounder, dual batteries, Spot light, cabin lighting etc.

Absolutely love it and had it out in some pretty big seas too. Dead
