It's not fair, you catch all the fish.
Nothing wrong at all with the fin-nor offshores either, they may not be flash and expensive, but they are bloody tough, good drags and work on the KISS principle which, when you are a long way from home or a service/replacement shop, is a very very good thing.
Those GTs, they aint small fish are they....

Hi kaveman and RAL . Have to correct you Sam. I am on Tarawa which is part of the Kiribati Island group. Xmas Island is about 4 hours flight from Tarawa. Tarawa is the capital and most of the Kiribati people live here. I am not here permanently. Working for a NZ based construction company. You very right Capt. I also like those Stellas and Dogfights but it just out of my price range and i fish the Fin Nors every weekend and nothing broken yet. Yes those GT's are big. I hook and lost a couple of bigger one's. Maybe next time i get luckyLOL

Another day in paradise and the GT's want to play. Biggest 30kg and smallest just18kg. There are another 2 in the bag and 4 were released. Left the shore at 10 and we were back at 2. Cheap gear in action.

Eat them all the time but the smaller one tastes better. My friends brother inlaw passed away while we were fishing so we kept the fish for the funaral. The people here very poor so all or most fish goes to families.
