Little bit off topic but does anyone know if the new stella spools can fit on the previous SW stella?
The older stella 5000sw will be a good size reel for the fishing i do but when i look on the shimano website i was surprised that it says the 5000sw (older model) can only hold 20lbs / 222 yds of powerpro braid.
Has anybody else got a 5000SW reel and if so how much can you get on a spool - please tell me which brand of braid and what rating? Cheers.

Smart marine are having a sale on the 2008 sw modelsWink

Fishthat, pretty sure that the 8000,10000 and 140000 spools arent interchangeable but 4000,5000 and 6000 are. Also 18k and 20k models are interchangeable also

Yeah, i missed out on the 5000 stella sale from marine deals Cry now they are back up.
Do you think the 2008 SW models will drop price due to retailers wanting to sell the new model?
