Hi everyone, as an introduction I have been checking this site out for awhile but only just became a member. Live in Brisbane but from NZ. Bought a house in Papamoa last year and looking at moving back this year, so getting excited about all the fishing to be had again.

Anyway have been looking at getting into jigging more. I have a light 60-120g setup, but wouldn't mind a mid size rig. Has anyone used the new silver Saragosas as a jigging reel? thinking of 50lb and between 200-350g size rod.

Cheers in advance.

They offer great value for money but do have a couple of areas that could be improved in later versions IMO especially in the models 10000 and under. Still for a reel of this price point you would expect to have some improvements. I have the SW6000 for a light stickbait rod, its smooth to wind, solid, not too heavy. The only thing that I have found is the drag performance all happens within 5-7 clicks before full lock down at the upper limit which can be a bit tricky to preset at times.
