From what I understand there is no access for recreational users on Lake Forsyth

I have never personally fished the lake, but I knew a German, or was it Swedish girl who did quite a bit of fishing for perch out that way. She mostly fished the streams and channels which flowed into the lake. She caught quite a few perch and said it was easy. Sorry, I can not remember the exact details of her technique.

I have had several looks at the lake myself, and have I personally feel it looks stagnant and not worth the effort trying to fish.

I just did a quick google search and on the CCC website I find a notice which says

"There is no recreational use of Lake Forsyth."

Interesting, wonder why. Anyway, if you want to have a look SH75 runs beside it for quite a while. There is also a nice rest area which gives easy access to the lake shore. If you that way inclined it is possible to even drive into it.
