Ended up going to to Ika Lahi and fishing on Reel Addiction with Steve. Had a great time, and Caroline and Steve made us feel very welcome. Steve is a mine of information when it comes to gamefishing and put in a big effort to put us on some fish. We were faced with constant 25 knot winds from SE which restricted us a bit on where we could fish, but Steve and the hardworking deckie Jeff put the effort in with 10 full hours of fishing per day.

We managed to get out to the banks a couple of times but it was fairly lumpy out there. Ate fresh fish every night, ended up catching a few Mahimahi, 2 small Blue Marlin (both released) and Wahoo. Had a few sailfish attack the lures but didn't stick

Definitely recommend anyone going to Tonga for some gamefishing to give this outfit a try, very professional and flexible. Accomodation was perfect, right on the beach and self contained.
One of the marlin lost its eye unfortunately as you can see in bottom photo. The whole eye is on the lures hook! Hopefully it survives...

That sea does look gnarly in the first shot, I assume its not the ice-age over there like it is here at the mo!
Blue marlin, cool and a monster mahi.
