Hi team,

It has been a year since I was back in NZ, and currently writing this from the UK.  I am due to head back downunder for my annual (fishing) trip home,  but I see since I was last around the HPA marine reserves have come into affect.  This effectively rules out all my local shore spots in the Kawau exclusion zone - so it looks like I will have to travel further afield.

I just wanted to ask how people are finding these areas - I know that there can be commercial fishing in these areas (?)  but I guess we just have to suck it up and look for new spots?

Also, I would be grateful if anyone has any secret shore spots around that area that can still be fished that you could share with me by private message - dont worry, I wont nick your spot, as me and my lad will only be around for just over a week  Tongue

Anyhow, thanks for reading and hopefully catch up with a few of you in the next couple of weeks!

Cheers,
Trenta
