It certainly does exist with braid, if your casting regularly have a close look at the last 15- 20 meters of line......

I use JB solid, it is pretty flat.  I made the mistake of trolling a lure that twisted my line up.  Did not use a BB swivel.  Pain in the A to get flat again.  I would say it not the reels fault, but the lure is probably turning.  Put a swivel on there.
Tis better to have hooked and lost than never to have hooked at all.

I think peoples perception of how much twist a swivel will reduce is over estimated. a swivel with a load on it doesnt spin freely.

To remove the twist from your line, cut the leader off, and feed the line out the back of as moving boat, then retreive, you will normally have to repeat the process, but it works.

Cheers guys! Found it strange that of the 3 Stella's being run with identical rigs only one(the new14k) has this line twist problem. Will try removing leader and unwind via your suggestion. Cheers again guys

You havent stray lined for anything bro?

We did on the 16k with JB 80lb for sharks in solid current. Got home and she looked liked a spring. Cut off leader and untwisted about 6 million times. But thats the only time i have had twist mate.
