Hey guys,

We're sponsoring a sailfish tournament this October at Kuala Rompin Malaysia. Of the US$30,000 prize money plus prizes on offer, there is $5000 payout for the topwater lure casting (popper/stickbait) section.
Details here - http://rompinbillfishclassic.oceanbluefishing.com.au/great-news-popper-stickbait-fans/

Rompin is the sailfish capital of the Asia Pacific region and fishing there is great. This EdgeWater Power Boats Billfish Classic will be a blast, if anyone is interested, journo Sam Mossman is putting together a group from NZFN for a readers trip.

Cheers David

I saw a video of Sam over there a while back, certainly a lot of fish there, 2k Oz for 5 days away, cheaper than a jig trip to the kingsWink

It's really a 4 month window, June/July to end Oct. Monsoon kicks in mid Nov and that's game over for the year. Sails generally have 2 runs a year, a June/July feed on bait fish and Sept/Oct is usually when things really hot up.

Cheers
