Dennis Verreet who hold world record of 230 lb yft from the shore fished kingfish in 20 kg - 30 kg from the rock in NZ recently.
He used 8'6" Black Hole Cape Cod 8'6" Nano popping rod with almost lock-down drag. He even landed 30 kg kingfish within a minutes.
