Hey guys

Has anyone used either the Saltist 24kg Stickbait rod (762H I think) or the Saltiga S-Extreme Stickbait rod (80TN I think)
Both 2 piece, both look pretty good.
Has anyone used, or even heard whether they are good or bad?

Thanks in advance

pretty sure milan was using the saltist with an opus bull or saltist reel on Big Angry Fish on the weekend.

either that or it was in the clip for next weeks episode.

have seen him use the saltiga in series 1 and 2 on some bronzies - nice rod!

Thanks Rockz
I think they Saltiga s extreme has a new blank? Im not sure when this would have been done? Maybe before, maybe after Milan had one. I have heard the old Saltiga rod was a bit stiff but the one I played with in store had a good soft tip and had a great bend loaded up.
Just wanted to know if anyone has had a go with one and whether it will swim baits well.

I think so, I tend not to be using big sticks as I've only been using it in the gulf as such, no monsters on it yet. I'm mucking around with techniques and still trying to find the one that suits me best - but the rod, along with the Saltiga 5000 is very nice indeed. I do not have a great deal of knowledge or experience to draw from though...oh well guess I'll have to put that right  Smile

Pretty sure they have just changed the name from monster mesh to saltist so rods and reels match names. Have just got 2 end of line monster mesh rods at a very good price 2 for 1 basically. And real keen to get amongst asap

The Saltist rods have been around for a while. Very different blank too. Different line weights, cast weights, lengths, diameters, and action
