hey guys,

About to buy my new reel... Which would be better for a bit if evertying from straylining to the odd popping.

Shimano Saragosa 6000 SW
Shimano Thunnus 12000f c14
Shimano Stradic 8000 FJ

thanks.

all around the same price...

If you're throwing straylining in the mix, unless you plan on holding the line constantly with the bail arm open, I'd go for the Thunnus.

The Saragosa is a sweet reel, but yeah I'd get the Thunnus if you do a lot of straylining, spin reels without the baitrunner function are a pain the proverbial when straylining.

I third the Thunnus as your best option as the baitrunner function makes strayling a breeze. Just go easy on the bail arm when stickbaiting or popping and keep the bail arm roller spinning.
