To get maximum drag you will need to get every last click out of the drag knob mate in the last half turn or so you will get your last 3-4 kilo
They already have a cross carbon drag (same as carbon tex) so not much you can do to "upgrade"
I'll act my age when im 69

Has it got the same drag washers as in the spheros FB14000 ? because i found those washers were not so good(Dartanium i think)........You can get carbontex washers off e bay usa and they are reasonably cheap...Tougher....put a light coating of cals grease on each one and you will be away.........I upgraded my 3500/4500/6500 baitrunners with them and they became really smooth..............10kg is still a very useful amount of drag..........Id rather have a smooth 10 kg of drag than a not so smooth 12 or 15 kg any day of the week.......However...be careful because once you start messing with drag washers.....your warranty could be a problem if something goes wrong with the reel..........Nomis above would be able to clarify that, i am sure.
I once caught a 22.5 kg king on a 6500 shimano baitrunner that only has 7 or 8 kg max of drag and i didnt go anywhere near maxing it....2/3 of a spool of line too.....lucky for me ....he took the piper at my feet........there is a dood on e bay usa that sells carbontex drag washers for all sorts of reels and the price is very reasonable.
I wouldnt be too obsessed with a huge drag figure........it might knock a few more kg on it but for me its all about smoooooooottthhhhh.
           Hope that helpsWink

LBD they run Cross Carbon (carbontex) washers standard. The usable drag level is a little less than what the stated Max drag is... Like Noomis said there's 1/3 of the drag rating in the last quarter turn of the knob which is sort of getting to bind point... Smooth as a babies bum though

I would be reluctant to make a habit of using any reel at more than 1/3 of the advertised max drag anyway.

Are they the same as the ones they used in The spheros 14000Fb?...........Do you know?....anybody know?........... because those ones were almost like cardboard in nature and one of them snapped in half on my spheros Fb 14000........the washers i got from the dood off e bay were much stronger........Pretty sure the older saragossa used the same ones but have no idea about the black one......its a good reel(newer model) ...so would presume  they used good **** in there.
Good luck to him all the same.Wink

Take it into a tackle store to check the drags for you.... not smooth may just need a wee lube...

Was the same here with my Gosa 10000SW, "only" getting around 10kg of drag.
Quick research solved the issue: greasing the washers

Take out the stack and double check that everything is in the right order and give the washers a light greasing then see how it turns out. Aftermarket Carbontex washers from companies like smooth drag are pretty cheap and can bump up drag figures a touch an won't harm the reel in any way. Barring that you would have to look at an aftermarket spool, Maxel makes a decent spool at a reasonable price.
