Anyone tried these?...............they look pretty cool......just wish there was a bigger size like a 180/190 or 200.............150 has its place of course.

Interesting description of this lure here.....the first two paragraphs are useful.......from then on it becomes HilariousLOL 
Now this is a surface lure like no other. The Shimano Ocea Spouter looks pretty much like your standard cup faced surface popper, but an internal chamber behind the face squirts a rooster tail of spray out behind the lure’s head as the lure is swept through the water. The principle is not unlike the front of a jet engine on a plane, being narrow in the front and then widening internally. 

The internal chamber also aerates the water, creating even more whitewater and commotion than a standard cup faced popper. With a low down tow point, it is also a lot easier to wind than a conventional cup-faced popper and therefore gives lots more ‘pop’ for far less effort. With the correct amount of rod movement, it can also be made to jerk and dive, not unlike a stickbait. Heavy-duty in-line single hooks rigged on 150lb breaking strain split rings demonstrate that this lure is all about big fish business. It’s available in two sizes — 120 and 150mm, with casting weights of 47 and 89 grams respectively — and five colours ranging from clear through to multi-shaded. 

"bubble"?!
Mixing the water that has entered from the water inlet provided in the cup top and the air inside the body, a new mechanism to allow blown out from the ejection port of the back while generating fine bubbles BUBBLE CHAMBER. In addition to the appeal of the lure alone, it is possible to draw the bubbles sparkling on a trajectory that lure has been swimming, and increase the appeal of the water.

Tips jet engine of an airplane?!
BUBBLE CHAMBER is by incorporating more water, we have to generate more foam. Therefore, the cross-section of the water port, has adopted a slightly broaden design the internal little narrow entrance. This shape is a technique used in the engine mice jet, it has been adopted in order to efficiently inhale more air. By applying this technology, not only the front, we have an efficient many inhalation can such ideas as much as possible the water around the cup.

They work good. They are lighter to use than a traditional popper, so a strong pull will get them out of the water, but work them like a stickbait and there is a huge water disturbance and spouts coming out the top. Going to be mean for a kingy this year, looking forward to hooking up on it. Got mine from Top Catch Takapuna. Most stores should have them.

Yeah....they are over here on e bay aussie......not sure if they are in shops but i like the fact they have inline singles........what size would you say they are Pete? Like a 7/0 shogun inline perhaps?..............I must get one and have a look.

Id say they are 6/0 hooks on there Pete....Did you try it?
They really should make a 190 or 200 with 7/0 or 8/0....preferably the later ...for good size kings or Gt's.

Why is the factory setting for the back hook up not down? Wouldn't the hook go into the mouth better facing down?  Is this because the lower jaw has more bone structure?

I'll be interested to hear how they go on different species.

Because they look cool like thatLOL....No serious .....they always are facing up like that but it wouldnt stop you from turning it down if you felt like it.....Its a fair question.....the upper part of the mouth  usually has a bigger surface area doesnt it?.....with the tail, hooking hanging down and the point/barb away could that effect the hook up rate?...maybe knock the hook away on the strike? To be honest....never really thought of that before.Wink

Yeah - I wonder about the back hook being up/down.  Double hook game lurers always face down and the single hook Rap30s that came out last season faced down.  Trial and error I guess.  Given that I lost 12 game fish last Sat, maybe lots of error on my behalf
