Considering I can't get out in the boat or go to Turangi flyfishing, I'm going to give surfcasting a crack. The weather is crap but there may be an opportunity on Saturday to get out. As I am new to this and only have limited opportunities, where would you suggest I go for the best (or any) result? Be happy just to wet a line but a snapper would be a bonus. I live in Silverdale and was thinking Mahurangi somewhere? I'm set up for beach rather than rocks at this stage.
