I'm after a rod to match a torsa 30, I've got a budget of around $500. The rod will be for jiging but also for livebaits and bottom bashing. I will mainly be useing 50lb braid sometimes 37. the JM rods sound like the go but will they suit non jigging methods aswell?

They are the most versatile rods Ive seen.

Id go for a JM350. My jm400 is just a bit stiff to tarakihi and snapper fish properly, perfect for puka though. Both will be good for livebaiting.
