This is Vahe' he was on the same boat as me yesterday jigging at Mayor.
Our first fish of the day was a carrot!
Just wondering has anyone else caught these on kingie type jig's?
This fish was hooked in the mouth.
If we caught a fish every time, We'd call it catching not fishing.......

got one on a 150g prowler that was a bit of a surprise!

Have caught them on the old style jigs and they love inchikus but that was one greedy sucker!
Best gurnard fisherman in my street

Yep 250g jigs work a treat, I got this last year outside the raglan bar entrance.

I have got a couple of spotted gurnard before. Hooked in the mouth about 180m mark.
