I made a tutorial video of my favourite knot for mono to braid on light setups, the back to back uni knot

Nice VID, used to be my go to knot but am now complete convert to the FG knot.

Significantly stronger in my experience & much nicer through the guides

Yep the FG knot is great, I use it on all my heavier setups, but for light stuff like softbaiting I find this knot suits the job fine and easier for me to tie when out on the jetski. Although in saying that I'm alot better at tying FG's now so could probably swap to the FG for everything

Cue endless discussions about the "best knot" Smile

Good video Coxie. I may give that a go at some point. I've been using the Alberto/Modified Albright knot for the past couple of years and haven't had any problems. I think the FG is the strongest knot from what I've read/seen, but I can't tie the ******* at the best of times, never mind on a bobbing jetski LOL

Also fan of the FG.. after some very frustation times, in the shed figuring out a quick easy way to tie it on the boat.. or jet ski.
Trick is use the rod as 3rd hand, and EVERY 2nd turn pull up tight.. as with every 1/2 hitch made in braid.
What I like with fg, is the small profile as casting thru the guides.
Same goes with the bimmini/ cats paw. my 2 go to knots
