Have any of you guys tried these out?

They sure look good, but I'd like to get opinions from a few people before I try them. I'm thinking particularly the flexibody, nymph skin and waterwing.

Keen to hear any opinions.

Jack

Realistic ties are great fun to do, but not very efficient trout catchers.

Yeah I'm wondering if it's worth spending the cash... I have gotten really into the fly tying lately, so I'm definitely tempted. So you don't think these products have too much use in standard fishing flies?

You could incorporate them into patterns that behave like insects instead of the fad of realistic tying which usually creates flies which look awesome but act nothing like the natural. As trout trigger more on behavior than the exact image you can work out for yourself which is likely to be most effective.

So, you're saying Clark, that the realistic flies are more on the make and display side of fly tying?

That's interesting as I thought the more realistic the better the chance of catching the fish. Glad I found this out before going all out for realistic tying.

Thanks
