Hi just wondering if a 2006 tohasu 40hp 2stroke a good buy ?
It's from a dealer says it's tidy for age.
3k they thinking.
Has remotes,self mixing,
Electric every thing etc.
No hours recorded though.

It'll be replacing a 1997 30hp yamaha 2 stroke ,manual start/trim/tilt etc ,basic, it's on a 1997 stabicraft 430

Just wondering would I notice a big difference in performance with a 40hp tohatsu?
The 30 yamaha pushes me at 40kmph when alone, that's in good conditions.,drops significantly when there's another person in boat.,does run really well ,seems like a good motor.

I'm looking for more power ,but still a good reliable motor like the yamaha seems to be.
should I be looking for newer motors, or would the tohatsu 40hp be a good upgrade from the 30 yamaha?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
