Hey everyone. A couple mates and I are planning a trip to Omapere/Opononi to target Kingfish land based. We have fished there a dozen or so times and almost always seen Kingfish while fishing for Snapper, so havent been prepared to take them on..

My main question is when is the best time to fish for Kingfish up there? I have read that late summer is best? Any information is very much appreciated. Thanks a lot! JD
