I've been using Saltiga  boat in pe 6  for a couple of years with good results.
I looked up Japanese pe diameters as follows:
pe 3     0.285 mm
pe 4     0.330 mm
pe 5     0.370 mm
pe 6     0.405 mm
pe 7     0.435 mm
pe 8     0.470 mm

Daiwa claim pe 6 boat braid is 0.44mm diameter.
So yes, good braid  but is pe 6  actually pe 7  or have I got wrong info here?
If I was unkind to Daiwa , I'd say they've cheated a bit to help win the usual braid shoot-out tests.

That was my point! It's not pe6 by their own stated diameter.

Here's another example for you. I've used 8lb fireline for soft baiting and everybody raves about how strong this stuff is because it breaks at 25lb..... only thing is it's actually the diameter of most good 25lb braids so once you realise it's actually 25lb braid being marketed as 8lb to make it win the tests, then it doesn't seem very impressive any more does it?

Hi guys, I just had some brand new 80lb Saltiga Boat Braid tested on the NSFC line tester (this is a certified line tester used for testing all NZ record claims) and these were the results of the 3 tests done, 27.4 kg, 27.6 kg and 31.5 kg (average 28.8 kg). So as can be seen this stuff actually breaks quite a bit below the stated breaking strain.

I also got some 65 lb Berkley whiplash tested and that broke at 22.1, 27.6 and 28.3 kg, note Pete Saul who did the testing thinks the first test was an anomalous result as it broke in the wring place, so this stuff breaks pretty close to its stated strength.

I seen a Marligator not long ago on Big Island, Hawaii

Very interesting results on the Saltiga Braid!  Was that all off one spool just thinking if it was a dud batch.

Great getting it tested.

Is there anywhere results are available for other braids, mono's tested that can be viewed?

PE 6 or 80lb Saltiga boat braid "usually" tests around 90lb so does not over test to the extreme like some other braids can.  Every spool can be different and not every line tester can give you the true reading of actual braid tests
The only true way to find out what your spool rating is, is to have it tested. Tasline (All White series) tests every spool it produces and comes stamped with test results.Wink

Just picked up on this thread again - Gatekeeper, I like that marligator photo.

With respect to that Daiwa Boat Braid I had tested that was all from the same spool. There was two spools I will get some off both spools to see if it was just dud stuff on one spool. I will also send some over to Paulus in Oz to test as he wants to test this stuff as well. Will be interesting to see how his line tests results compare to the NZSFC's line tester results.
