Yip Im a newbie, and I have been to Kaiaua a few times but not actually spotted the mussel farms. Can anyone please give me a rough idea which direction to head, how long it should take to get there, and what they actually look like?

Cheers!

This is the farm, rows and rows of large black bouys.
As you can see, it's not far offshore. About 13km north of the Kaiaua ramp if I remember correctly.

P.S. the bouys floating high in the water don't have any mussels attached, choose an area where the bouys are low in the water.
