Hi,
anyone had much experience fishing around Port Stephens Australia?
Hoping to have a weekend there fishing at the end of the first week on May.

Can anyone recommend any decent charter operators?
and the best species to target at that time of year, are we too late for the game season this year as i see it "ends" in April?

Thanks

Mate, Port is our home base.

Best charter blokes on the block would be Timmy Dean on Calypso.
His home waters and he gets more than a few.

Not too late for game fishing, although the weather has been crap.
We have had marlin well into June, so I wouldn't stress out too much.

Just enjoy what there is on offer - nice place for a visit.

I fished with Glen Hunter nice guy catchers his share, Some of the "gamefishing charters are just lure pullers.

Go with someone who switchs and live baits

All the boats above are the good ones.
