Was looking at buying my first jigging set, of which I notified my oldman before he went on his overseas trip (5+ countries) so if he'd see something interesting he should give me a call. Might add that he doesnt know much about jigging.
This morning got a call, saying he bough me and my brother 2 sets (as a early b.day present) of salina 3 16000 reel (24kg drag) 8+1 bearings, 4.8 to 1 ratio, and a Salina 3, 5`7 PE8 400g rod (2 piece) Fuji guides, eva grips etc...

Is that combo any good at least as a starting point ?

Or should I sell it and buy something else, if so how much would it be worth ?

i have a Salina 2 and its pretty good, its got good smooth drag and when you crank it up its damn hard to hang on to!

FCO have Salina 2 1600 on special in their latest catalog.

Been told salina 3 is just an upgraded raw 2, are raw 2 good ?
