Hi all,
I'm considering taking my 5.6m Ramco out from Tairua to the Aldermans and keen to see if anyone else wants to take their boat as its safer in pairs? Not a big trip for some of you but if there is a local or someone who is planning a trip out there over the next 2-3 weeks and wouldn't mind me following you out then drop me a line. I have done several trips there on charters but being a smaller boat I don't want to be over-confidant. Thanks in advance. p.s using a online distance calculator I make it approx 10.5Nm from the bar to the southern Alderman Island does that sound about right?

Just pick your days you'll manage piece of piss, has been not much bait around lately and found them very jig shy, we did very well on the jigs around red mercury and surrounding pins on Monday, goodluck can get to the aldies from tairua boat ramp in half hour if the sea allows.

We took our 5.5 Buccaneer out there on 27th. Bit choppy going over, flatter coming home. Tomorrow might be okay depending if that forecast NE comes up.
We always go as two boats. Don't have to, 30 minute trip at 23 knots. But just peace of mind for the unexpected. Text me on 021941199 of you want to head out in the next week or so. You can show me some jigging skills!!
