Is this suitable for casting? Anyone had any experience using it in the 50-80lb line class?
Cheers.

Tony.. Kilsong has been having a few problems with the Varivas in Cape Cod chasing BFT and that place would be one of the few places left to really test tackle. Most of the captains only use and recomend Jerry brown Hollow braid.
If yo want to do a search or ask Q's,go to Sportfisherman.com(lots of good info)Wink

Many top anglers in the world uses varivas for their BFT and YFT no problems. It was  Voted No1 casting briad in Japan, by all the shop and captains.  No arguments here, but have you used both products? or Just read it from the others

Nice and thin too, packs a lot more on the spool, which is very handy. (At least, the Rovex depthfinder stuff is, haven't tried the otehr stuff)

Have 50lb Rovex Viros braid on my popper set and seems ok.  First couple of missions I kept getting loops in the braid casting that would tie themselves into a great knot that I couldnt untie.  Non issue now so may just take a little while to bed down?

I got 600yrds of the rovex depth finder on the Fin-nor OF20 overhead, so it must be pretty skinny.... in fact, needed a fair amount of nylon backing on it just to fill the spool.

We use the Rovex depth in 80lb for jigging and Viro's 50lb for popper/stick baits and have no issues opposed to some of the better known brands out there. good consistent strength, good knot strength and excellent impact strength. what more can you ask for. that and the fact it's not rope and is priced very well. ++ very good trader would deal again :D
