Just a question to a few of you out there.

I am going to be doing a trip to the three Kings next year with the focus being pretty much on top water fishing.
Out of you guys who have been up there on some of the boats any reccomendations on vessel.

Some of the things i will be looking for are.
Fast movable boat able to get into and out of the tight spots when fishing near the islands.
And a good vessel for multiple people to cast and retrieve from.
I do expect there will be some jigging or live baiting alongside casting but really want to get a crew dedicated to Top water.

This year when we were there some of the sights were amazing, with some huge fish coming in on the lures. The other interesting poiunt was the only time we got fish on the jigs near the islands was after the top water guys located the fish with.

May look at early season too, if anything like down here the surface can go off early in the year.
Cheers Mark

just an outside the square option - take your boat across, team up with one of the bigger boats for extra fuel, bunks, showers etc -  during the day they go out and do the 'normal' Kings thang with their crews whilst you and your team (perhaps rotating from the available crew #s) stick around the islands doing what you want to do....meet back at the  'mothership' for a raft up and feed and refuel?.....if you where sticking around the islands you wouldn't use much fuel.....might be logistically and cost prohibitive...dunno bro but just something to think about.....

But I think you'll find a few folk interested in a trip like that.

Cova Rose, Enchanter, Pursuit are all pretty much of a muchness regards speed and casting room give or take in my opinion.

Early season you arent gonna have the BOP boats up there like Pursuit, Enchanter etc, so you are limited to the more pricey specialised game boats. Out of those Reel Passion is probably the pick for numerious anglers casting with its beam, probably not as pricey as some other options too.

On our last trip up there on pursuit Ginga we had 5 casting at once with 2 on the bow one amid ships and two at the stern with no issues at all.
Rick got pretty excited with doing this and put Pursuit very close to many guts and bricks.
Very cool way to fish and it takes real concentration to watch your lures as you find yourself watching everyone else,s
