Well since before the weekend, we'd had a plan to get out on Tuesday for a jig out deep for some bigger models. Reece had previously hooked up at this spot to a BIG fish and pulled the hooked-just wasn't meant to be, so we had a unfinished business. Also, me ol mate Reece was moving away from the area, so we really wanted to get out one last time. The weather played ball, we even fished the 'wrong' tide against the wind for a while, then it flattened out beautifully when the tide switched and the wind dropped right out. After charging ourselves up in the sun at the tranquil south end out of the wind, we made our way out.

once at the grounds we had a good look around as you do. eventually, I hook up to something heavy that bottoms out the Deepshot100. After a longish fight, up pops this fish of about 23kgs, maybe a tad more. We got one other, then headed back.
