Weather looked stunning on all weather forcasts Wednesday week ago so mate and i decided to hit the kings at Mayor. 2 boats and off at sunrise, well would have if servo opened on timeLOL left harbour  just after 6.15 and first spot at Mayor scouting for sign at 7am. 10knots of cool s/west but all good.
Found a bit of sign so down goes 420g old good old lead(we dont do livies)LOL.   I soon wished we had livies as i hadnt had a good mechanical jig session for a while and it showed. Fish didnt seem to care though and i hooked a nice fish that had the MC Works 538 xxh buckled nicely and string leaving the OJ 4000P, wooooho, this is why we suffer the pain.LOL  I had mine half way up when Craig also hooked up so got mine up and a quick kiss and off home to his mates.(no pic as only 2 pob)est 20kg solid fish.
Craig is having trouble with his fish, 15kg drag and Accurate and still peeling line, eventually up pops a nice king, est 24-25kg. Personal PB for Craig on jigsClap
few shots and  off to see his brothers too

Shot back on our drift line which was awesome(no drogue needed) and managed another double hookup, these fish werent as big, nice 12-15kg models.

Other boat wasnt doing as well, they got spanked twice but managed to get 2 doubles later in the day after we jigged every known knoll for Nadda, jigs, stickbaits, very slow elsewhere.
Caught a nice 5lb kelpie on new Certate softbaiting, so my tea was sorted.
Quick jig at original spot before heading home and another double ,Craig keeps his for the smoker,14kg on scales back at home

so only 1 king and 1 snap  hurt during this adventure. On the other hand i was hurting all next dayLOL must do more jiggingWink
Thanks for the company Craig(bop strayliner) great guy and fun to fish with, we will be back for more pain after i have done more gym workLOL

Top effort there boys. Good to see ya nailing a few good fish there craig. Get the arms burning after a bit. Good to see the jigs firing and doubles on. Bring on the jig comp in 3 weeks. Mayor is looking like a good option the way it is starting to fire.

Yeah Jono, never rule out mayor! Not long till the tourney now, still no ride for me yet. So the stella is looking good for YA.
Falco, we were in close to the island in about 5m of water and Kaveman flicked his softy, it would have sunk around 30cm and he was in. The tin arse!!

yeah sounds about right, they take them almost on the surface in there - they go well in the shallow too!
