I showed this thread to a mate in Aussie who imports a pile of gear and is getting some reels made to his own specs, this is what he says about the reels......

Based on price and being on china's retail version of Ebay with made in Japan on it, I would say its a very low quality copy of the Stella

China has several factories making the stellas Saltiga , chinese manufacturing ratings go from A quality to triple A plus

AAA+ is original equipment manufacturer specs / customer modified version, generally made by the actual manufacturer for say Shimano

AAA is same as above but not by the actual manufacturer, sometimes makes exact 100% copies
With full names etc

AA looks the same and is usable low quality copy , with reduced specs (eg less bearings and Chinese bearings) (quite often made by the same people tag own the AAA+ factory)

A looks the part at a distance but is boat anchor quality , generally states made in actual brands country eg Japan , USA and uses part of the model name , Saltiga etc (the better manufacturers understand copyright in the West and that they won't get sales volume by using part names etc as the importer risks boarder confiscation so they either do perfect copy or stay well away )

My guess looking at the reduced bearing numbers price , names etc It's a boat anchor A

So, there ya go, I thought his comments would be of interest :-)
