Hey, little bit of an old thread but i use a daiwa certae 2500r with upgraded drag and a golden mean sabel dance PE1 rod. I have to up the line class a little now due to battling with a number of thumping great golden trevally. Jig weight range for me is 7gm-40gm depending on the current, with regards to the jigs the cheaper ones work when the fish are really on but the higher priced japanese units definately get more hits. I havent noticed much difference in single or double hook rigs.
