Don't know about that area but sometimes I go out to my spots and there is nobody home.
Go back next day and it might be busy or sometimes it goes quiet for weeks.
There are a lot of kings cruising in shallow at this time of year.
It's the slow time where I jig (mostly about 70-90m) but I still pick up a fish to eat most trips.
I do have to work at it more for sure.
Keep marking good structure while you look around and expand your places to look so you make the most of each trip.
Once you have a good network of structure (if the area has some options) you can go from mark to mark and give yourself more chance of spotting even a bit of bait with a few kings on it.
I have one area that is pretty small but I still have 6-8 marks on it so I can check all the high points and in between easily.
Last trip out, last tues I found a few kings hanging in the mid water half way between two of my marks and pulled a good eater out of that.
No bait in that spot just a handfull of kings probably cruising between pins.
I spent 20 mins in that spot on my way out and it was slow but a bit of bait (mid day as well) so I went on to another spot that was just dead.
So I went back and worked all my marks and between them in the first area and came away with a fish.
That's working pretty hard for me.
In terms of size, some days it's a numbers game or you have to move on.
If you are jigging fish into the boat you are good to go, just practice.
I hope this makes some sense sorry for the waffle............I was out late last night.
