Awesome day on the water today with a bunch of good blokes. trolled for some Albacore which we spotted out the other day but to no avail.
Moved into the kingfish grounds at a secret spot and jigged hard for nothing.
Out come the top water gear and carnage erupted, the guys landed some 20 kg fish and a few smaller ones too. Whilst Mike was pulling in his lure to get out of the way of another hookup his Action Import stick bait got smashed big time, a lengthy battle ensued and eventually a 28 Kg fish met some cold steel and was brought on board.

Well done to the Wanganui legends for a good day out even if it was a bit lumpy on the way in.
One of the boys was a forum member so hopefully he will put some pics up soon
