The Matanza you mention looks like it was a heavy slow jig rod, i have the Matanza LFH model which stands for long fall heavy and is more a slow pitch model at approx 7ft long
The rods are state of the art and one of the last models that Graeme made before he gave up because of health problems
This rod is NOT made for mechanical jigging
