Has any one done much with jigs on soft plastic setups?  I have seen Mat recently on ITM get dealt to by some reasonable Great Barrier Kings using a twinpower softbait set with a jig.

I think they would be pretty good for using light jigs and bouncing the bottom for snapper.

The rods are extremely sensitive and have great hook setting power which are all benificial for jigging.

I'll quite often bang a light cheap wharehouse type jig on my sp outfit in water45-90m deep and bottom bounce,Gurnad, blue cod Jock stewart, snapper and small kingies are all good fun on it.The same 'ryoshi' jig with a small lumo assist hook added is never long down before being grabbed.
