U can remove the spool and the drag u have set is not affected - ie the knob that removes the spool is separate from the knob that sets the drag. Simple ingenious design. Built like a brick **** house. Absolutely top of the tree when it comes to quality.

it is a sr20, i know cos its my old reel, this one has the uprated main shaft in it as the it oringinal one broke after i sold it to inuk, even though the reel had changed hands decoro still did it under warrenty. so its better than any other second hand/old stock one at clearence price out there(as most will still have the old shaft in them)so it is basically the new one at a very good price.
this reel in pretty much brand new i still wish i  hadnt sold it as i miss itCry but stitting cars on the limiter while doin skids gets expensive and something had to go to pay for tyres and big end bearings.

Listen to Poly. He should know. Has a better main shaft from the manufacturer - so better than the original. Thanx for that Poly.

By the way highest recommendations re DeCoro with their customer service. Kane is the manager and agent for Accurate now and he bends over backwards to help and makes the time to talk to the customer. Also very enthusiastic fishermen there.
