Hi folks,

Like countless other folks I'm looking for advise on a cheap popper / stick bait rod.

I know one rod's not gonna be great for both poppers and sticks, specially not in the basement corner, but I'm hoping that one of them will at least let me use some poppers and stick baits effectively:

Daiwa Terez - not sure on best length, weight yet
Shimano t-curve revolution travel
Fin nor troppo stick 8'

I've been able to get my hands on the first two - t-curve seems a bit stiff at the top for stick baits to me, terez range looks nice - but not seen the troppo so can't comment, but heard good things about it.

Any thoughts on these would be great - save me from TAS confusion

My advise would be to save another $200 at least to get into some better rods. After all its only the cost of one carpenter stickbait.

I guess if it will make a big difference I should - just itching to get out and play on top.

Have a look at the new Shimano Backbone Elite PE 4-8 and 8 foot long. I already bought one and will be testing it on GT's in two weeks time. They look much better than the troppo's and also better quality. Pretty sure for $200 you can't beat them. Actually bought 4 of them all for my mates on the islands but they look so good i keep one for myself now.
