I think the lack of rod bend there is fairly interesting as well. If that makes sense?

The rods used are specialist live bait rods with very soft glass tips so they fold away without the fish feeling too much of a change once hitting the bait... Those rod holders you see the rod in play a big part as well... Shimano Japan were out here several years back testing their models of this rod with Lionel from Memory Maker... I got to see them bend then and yes they will handle big Kingfish... I think the cost including the special rod holders were the reason they never took off here... Around $2000 a rodConfused

Like MIB I had a play with the ones Lionel had while out on a white Island trip. Certainly different and yes the brackets were a big part of the way the rod worked
