Looking for a reel for jigging in the $2-300 range. Currently have an okuma salina on my other spin jig rod, but just thought I would get other opinions of what was out there. Some ideas had been a quantum Cabo, fin nor offshore 5500 although I don't like that the fin nors don't have an Infinite anti reverse. Looking for something that can hold 200m+ of 80lb braid and have more than about 12 kilo of smooth drag.

Fished the new penn spinn fishers at the 3 kings 2 months ago,previously had a salt 80 and a tica,very impressed with the drags on the penn,stood up to a few kingies in the 25 to 33 kg bracket,few smallish bass       reel feels nice to use,handle feels good bail arm very strong,the 10,500 is a beast of a reel with 600 mtr of 37 kgs braid on .have Look at them before you decide on a reel

Diawa Opus Bull 4500 -have taken kings to 20kg on it -but treat it with kid gloves -heard bail roller mechanism  (a bit plasticy) can fail.  Having said have a twin power 4000 that's accidentally taken a few big kings and has surprising power. 

The new Quantum Cabo or Boca, but they are more than that price you mention.
Off shores are nice, but are a manual bail arm, but good rugged reel.
Biscayne, a nice reel, auto bail trip which is good.
The Penn Spinfishers though I have just used for a month in the Sollies, and performed brilliantly on all sorts of fish. I was using a 5500 loaded with 20lb line, didn't miss a beat. At the moment, for $250 odd, that'd be my reel of choice, go for the 7500 though.

JonoCooGee - a quick Google search of some of the retailers show the Spheros priced in the $250-300 bracket.

Penn SSV 7500 or 8500. 35 lbs drag. Charkbait have these for USD 179 if you have the inclination to import from USA. The SSV range is a huge step up from the SSM available in NZ
