I picked up a few of these in various sizes after that awesome report of 20kg Hauraki Gulf Kings, by Fishwisperer a few weeks back.

And as I'm starting to get bored of Softbaiting, (don't get me wrong, catching snapper after snapper is fun on softbait), but its time for something different and something a bit more challenging, and why not try hard bodies lures for a little bit. So i'm starting of with some Sebiles and Waxwings.

But as I'm not a fan of trebles (i mostly catch and release) and would like to change them out to singles and after searching on f.net and other sites, i couldn't find any info of which brand hook size worked (why can't that make a industry sizing standard!!!!!)

So has anyone change the trebles to single hooks on the 66SK (14gram) or the 77SK (22 gram) or the 96XH SK (60 gram)

And if so, what size did you get, as i'll have to order them in as, theres isn't a huge range of smaller Owner, Decoy, VMC hooks up here in Coro Town

Hi Makka,

thanks for the feed back and pointing in the right direction, i had a look online at them, and i think they will do the the job.

i did notice in a post on f.net that someone had ordered in some Decoys in on the #1-0 and 2-0 sizes, so i've pm'ed them to see what sizes they have used and how the held up

cheers
