Watched a bronzy jump 5 times clear of the water this evening landing on its side while having a few beers at the estuary mouth. Great sight really close to us.

At last, another bronzie thread. Whatever happened to the last one ( spearing Bronzies)? Can't find anywhereWink.
A couple work colleagues saw orcas on Banks P last Sunday - swam by JUST outside them - appeared to be chasing something.

Yeh i think that one got made to disappear after the way it started getting quite heated in it.. Wink

That is something i want to see close up one day.. The closest i have been to them is when surfcasting about a month back at east clive was they were within casting distance right in front of me and one mustve swam either under or over my line as it starting doing a really good jiggle,,glad it never got hooked tho either-- MAJOR SPOOLING LOL

Hey fish food you should have shot it for taunting you like that. I find it very disrespectful for a creature of its calibre to be acting like some dumb fish.  Very rude.  It must have small genitals.

I've seen a Bronzie jump too. I guess feeding or parasite issues? Or was it just window shopping for food?!

Well we hooked up that bronzy this avo, 3 times. 1st time I don't think he knew he was hooked we got a good look at him, but it was soon over, so we headed back for a shark trace from the batch, and some beers. As we were rigging up the surf aster a swimmer drifted past and we noticed the bronze come right in and have a look at him, we told him and he
hightailed it. We hooked it up a couple of times after that quite spectacular one of the strikes right at the surface, going back tomorrow with heavier gear. 200lb mono should do it? This post should be in the fishi g section somewhere, but I started it here. Dived some weedlines yesterday murky 5m vis for a boary and a bronzie
