Just arrived, the new Shimano Calcutta 200 and 400 D  round profile bait caster reel - stunning piece of equipment and a perfect match for the new T-Curve Revo Vertical - Slow Jig rods. We have the 401 D arriving soon for all you south paws out there but stocks will be tight for the first few shipments so get a pre-order in with your local Shimano Retailer.

Yeah Si - and very precise adjustments too....would look and feel sweet with a power handle....;)....will do some research...Nomis? Calling Nomis??

Yeeeaaa boy!! next reel on the list for me!.

Ill Check in the morning for a "power Handle" to fit and reply then. Im sure I can find something. To be honest i quite liked the paddle style on this one.

So I'll have retract the above words, The paddle handle on the Calcutta 400D is a complete new set up and completely new design for this reel. At this stage there is nothing else that fits.
 
This is due to the "x ship" design of the Calcutta D series drag knob. Having the star drag adjuster on top of the handle, instead of underneath enables the reel to have a shorter main shaft. Which eliminates lost torque when winding the handle. So a cool design all up.
 
As more new reels come through Ill be sure to check anything that may fit. So for now its Paddle handle only!
