Hey,

Wondering if anyone has a wavebreak inflatible -alloy hull.

Reading about them they sound like a good boat. In particular I am looking at the 4.2m open or cuddy style. I am wanting something to skip over the the Barrier for rock fishing or to access some more remote spots with a small boat but way more capable than my 4m tinny.

Pretty sure "Unclejake" has one, top boats, well thought out and the Rolls Royce of RIB's IMO, I particularly like the hull design the way the sides internally come up high like a conventional hull. I believe they ride nicely as well.

"wanting something to skip over the the Barrier". We are talking 4.2m here. You are asking a lot of the boat and yourself.

Wavebreak boats are totally awesome in my opinion. Fantastic build quality, great sea manners and a sharp price.....if you want a robust, medium sized RIB.

When the going gets really tough I fancy my chances in a NZ made, bag and bladder RIB above anything else of a similar size. Up until last week our Wavebreak had the same air in it they filled it with in 2008. It has never needed a top-up.

I can't comment on taking one to GBI on a regular basis

I don't have a lot else to add as I sent Tomatron a bit of info when he asked about them last time (in 2010) Tongue
