Anyone tried these yet. They have an awesome action in the water, I'm usually a bit too lazy to bother with lures but thought why not, and I splashed out the 26 bucks to get one from topcatch (currently on special). A word of warning though, I was fishing it on 6kg gear today trying to catch a ky as a live bait and it got taken by a nice-ish king of about a metre, just as I was about to lift the lure out of the water. 

yep got one before xmas but weather only allowed the one session to give it a crack.

I was using them off the rocks, they're perfect for it, I got the 118mm version, it's possible to cast quite far if the wind is't too bad. Went and bought another today and used it on a 10' beastmaster with 15kg line on a shimano 6500 ( this is a bit heavy to be casting all day though). A kingy took a swipe at it but missed by a matter of millimetres. Didn't see it again after that.

Interesting question Aaron. Haven't seen many either. They were round before Chrissie. They usually show up in droves in Autumn, big ones too.

I have two of these...the biggest ones...reckon they should make a 150 size one but the pillie one looks awesome....have used twice but no joy yet.

Always a bit nerve-racking using a lure off the rocks with bustoffs, snags etc. Would be very brave/rich fisho who used a Nomad or Carpenter off the stones.

However, this lure does look exceptional, and I guess $35 isn't too bad. I'd pay a lot more for a hook up some days! Mostly I'd rather chuck a nice cheap ready-caught piper if they were on hand.
