Anyone found any ingenious ways of storing baits so they dont tangle and/or get damaged by the trebles?

I store them un-rigged.

Will only have 2 stickbaits rigged on the boat at any one time, if I want to use one that isn't rigged I'll will take the trebles of one of the stickbaits already rigged.

Cigi filter caps can be put on top of the barbs too. They won't stop tangles though and they seem to come off pretty easy.

Where did you get the treble caps Kevin?

Like Marx...store without trebles on/split rings....just use one of these and a good pair of split ring pliers

What about those orange killwell bags think they hold 9 or 12 rigged poppers and only 80ish bucks

Tagit make great Bags for poppers/stickbaits. about $30-40 I think.

The plastic holders are all lightweight and break easily with stickbaits falling out the botttom. Small stickbaits getting stuck and big hooks don't fit in the holders. I have pulled my holders out and just chuck the stickbaits unrigged in the bottom without the holders.

use a rubber band to tie the hooks together and put into a plastic bag like the deposit bags from westpac bank they are thick and hold them together well, then into a bigger bag

rubber bands to tie the hooks and chuck them in an old battery drill carry case ;)

get a suitable sized bag and then some suitable sized pvc pipe and cut into suitable sized lengths and stack them all in tight vertically. means all the hooks can be on them and none of them are touching each other.

I have the orange bag and it fits a treat in the front hatch of my ski for jigging and popping trips.
Like the Aldis last monday and Tuesday.
However life on a ski is hard so had to make some modifications.
As you can see from the second picture the bottom still needs a solution LOL
 
The jigs are trying to breakout of the bottom !

simple fix for the bottom would be a 2liter icecream lid placed in side the bag.

HPA makes a great roller bag that I use. You can cap off your trebles with Owner Cultiva size 1.5L or 2L treble caps and put the whole rig into the bag pockets. Bag rolls up for storage and has mesh top/bottom for fresh water rinsing.

Scored a few of these Youvella mesh lure wallets at the warewhare a while back for a $1 each out of the specials bin. Folds in half and has envelopes on the reverse side. Owner self-draining safety caps on the trebles rigged and ready to go. Can just rinse the whole lot when you get home = no snagging, safety or corrosion issues, done.
6th place in the inaugural Te Kauwhata Regionals paddle crab division

Try the JM, Shout and zest jig wallets Tomatron, they are good. Failing that Shimano do a not too bad one for $30 but the flaps don't velcro down and they are not hard flat casings like the fore-mentioned.
